Here’s a selection of the most recent websites I’ve built:

Business Growth Hub

Business Growth Hub is a business accelerator organisation based in Manchester. On this project I built the back-end Umbraco functionality and business logic and integrated it with front-end markup supplied by a third party. I added some sweet functionality including opinion polls and a networking area, and also added some custom back-office Umbraco pages too.

Technologies used:

  • Umbraco 7
  • ASP .Net MVC 4
  • Angular JS
  • Custom Umbraco packages

portfolio_vinorium

The Vinorium is an e-commerce site for a high-end wine retailer. A decent bottle of plonk from this site could cost you a cool £37,000!

Technologies used:

  • Umbraco 7
  • ASP .Net MVC 4
  • In-house e-commerce platform

portfolio_medium

Medium.co.uk is phase one of an e-commerce site for an A/V distributor. Huge great big flat panel displays, super HD projectors, that sort of thing. I had a lot of fun hooking into Umbraco’s Lucene search index to build the faceted search for this site!

Technologies used:

  • Umbraco 6.2
  • ASP .Net MVC 4
  • Modified Bootstrap theme

portfolio_lcbt

The LCBT project was a re-build and extension of an existing website for a London-based beauty college where you can study anything from basic hairdressing to vajazzling! We added in an e-commerce element using Tea Commerce, and also built a course application process which integrated into a back-end course management system.

Technologies used:

  • Umbraco 4.9
  • ASP .Net Web Forms
  • Tea Commerce
  • WCF Web Services

portfolio_preparedaccounts

Prepared Accounts is a simple brochure-ware website for Sandra – a self employed bookkeeper who I would highly recommend if you need someone to look after your accounts.

Technologies used:

  • HTML/CSS
  • Bootstrap 2.3.2

portfolio_furniturerepairmanchester

Creative Coatings is a WordPress website I created for Simon – a furniture restoration specialist based in Manchester. I spent some time finding a carefully crafted keyword-optimised url for the site, and now Simon is getting more work through the website than he did when it was hosted by Yell!

Technologies used:

  • Self-hosted WordPress
  • Modified WordPress theme
